Your data, your rules.

What we collect

Only what you share to make ItsOnlyBetweenUs useful for you: your account details (name, email, profile photo), your conversations with the AI, mood check-ins, journal entries, reflection answers, and tasks you complete. We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers.

How we use it

To generate your daily mood summary, motivation, tasks, notes, weekly reflections, and to power the AI conversation. Your writing is processed by trusted AI providers (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI Whisper & TTS) strictly to respond to you, and is not used to train their models.

Your controls

• Export a full JSON copy of your data at any time from Settings.
• Delete individual memories from the Memory page ("Forget").
• Delete your entire account — all data is permanently removed.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in encrypted MongoDB. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Session tokens are HttpOnly cookies scoped to your device.

Not a substitute for care

ItsOnlyBetweenUs is an AI companion for reflection and self-awareness. It is not a licensed therapist and does not provide medical or psychiatric care. In a crisis, please contact local emergency services or a trusted person.
